So adorable!

Jackson is a sweet little boy! It is amazing at how he is growing and changing every day. This week his hair is looking reddish. I almost think he looks like his Uncle Tim. What do you think?
Enjoy the pictures.

Mommy is picture happy...

Here are a few more pictures of Mr. Jackson.

Leonard & Lola are doing really well with Jackson. However, Jackson is a little leary of their cold wet noses and slobbery mouths...I don't blame him!

Enjoy...I have more pictures to post later in the week.

Jackson is 3 weeks old

Jackson is now 3 weeks old and growing like crazy.
I took Jackson to the doctor today and he weighs an amazing 9lbs. 6 0z. (His last check up was on 1/14 weighing 8lbs. 2oz.)! The doctor was impressed with his development, especially when Jackson responded to my voice with smiles! Mom was quite proud of her boy!
Jackson and I have been enjoying daily outings to the Mall of America in the past week. We usually head out in the late morning and make about 3 laps around the mall (depending if I stop into a store or two!) Amazingly I have spent more time walking then shopping...hopefully that will continue! I was surprised at how many moms are at the mall with their little ones. I guess it is the only place to get some nice exercise on a cold Minnesota day.

Here are some new pictures of our cutie!

Jackson meets Grandma Arndt

On Saturday (January 17) Jackson met his Grandma Kathy. Grandma traveled up from Janesville with Aunt Emily and Uncle Ben. They spent Saturday and Sunday with us, and Jackson enjoyed every minute of it.

On Wednesday, January 14 Jackson has his first doctor's appointment. He was back to his birth weight and was at the 75th percentile for height. The doctor said he was a good, healthy boy!

Jackson meets Grandma Dyk

On Sunday, Grandma Dyk flew in to meet Jackson and to help us out around the house. It was so nice to have her here - she was a huge help!
I was dealing with some "baby blues" and sleep deprivation, so it was nice to have my mom here to help me through. Being a new parent is so rewarding, but quite overwhelming.

Thank you to Grandma for all her help! We truly did appreciate it!
I am sure Grandma will be out again soon...she couldn't get enough of her little grandson!
Hopefully Grandpa Dyk will be able to make the next trip!

Jackson meets Grandpa Arndt

On Saturday, Jackson met his Grandpa Arndt. Grandpa and Uncle "Mitty" drove up from Janesville to meet him. Grandma Arndt was out of town and will be coming up this coming weekend to meet him.

Jackson had his first outing on Sunday morning to have breakfast with Grandpa, Uncle Mitty and Uncle Ben. He did quite well, just one dirty diaper and a few fussy moments !

We are on our own.

Yesterday (January 7) we took Jackson home from the hospital.
It was a rough first night. Jackson was circumcised in the morning before we left the hospital. The procedure went well, but he was in a tired, dazed state the rest of the day. We could not get him to eat, so it was quite nerve racking. He finally came to life in the middle of the night and I was able to breast feed him and get him comfortable.

Today (January 8) has been a good day. My milk finally started to come in and Jackson seems to be more satisfied. We hope the night goes smooth...!

Yesterday was also the first time Jackson met Leonard and Lola. Leonard and Lola were a little overwhelmed yesterday with all of the newness. They followed us where ever we go in the house with Jackson. If he cries, they are there... They don't miss a thing!

Here are some pictures from yesterday and today.

He is here!!!

Jackson Michael Arndt arrived January 5, 2009 @ 4:36p.m.

He weighs 8lbs 2oz and is 21 inches long. He has dark hair and blue eyes and is perfect in every way!
Labor and delivery were quite a breeze, thanks to an epidurel.
We were induced at 7:30a.m. and started pushing around 3:45p.m. I had discomfort for just a 1/2 hour, otherwise I was feeling "great". I wish I had the epidural today, as I am a little uncomfortable...but easy to forget when I am holding this perfect little boy!

Here are some pictures from yesterday. These were all taken within 30 minutes of his birth.
We will update with more pictures throughout the week.

Mike & I are very proud of our amazing little boy!

We missed the 2008 Tax Deduction

Yes, we missed that 2008 tax deduction.
We are now schedule to be induced on Wednesday, December 7th, unless he decides to come before that time.
Mike & I have been walking daily at the Mall of America in an effort to get him moving.
Hopefully, our efforts will pay off...

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
We are hanging in there!
